Red Wine

Old Road Pinotage

Overview

This Pinotage was made at the Graham Beck Wines Cellar in Franschhoek and originates from "The Old Road" Vineyard. Planted in sandy loam soils in 1971, this vineyard produces only 4 tons per hectare.

The juice was fermented in open fermenters and the wine underwent barrel maturation for 12 months in American Oak.

"Rich, plum and dark chocolate intermingled with delicate clove flavours. Ripe fruit tannins for a structured mouthfeel, succulent and full. Elegant, long finish."

Enjoy with a cassoulette, rich pasta dishes or gorgonzola cheese.
